About Smith & Western

Inspired by the rugged charm of the Wild West and the smoky allure of American BBQ, the Cox family launched the original Smith & Western back in 1995, nestled in the quaint town of Horsham.

With a welcoming ambiance and generous helpings of classic American food, we quickly became the go-to spot for cowboys and cowgirls craving an authentic experience. From the heart of the small town, our love for the Wild West spread like wildfire, leading us to open our doors at seven distinct locations across the South East of England.

So, saddle up and journey with us as we transport you to a world where the spirit of the frontier comes alive. Indulge in hearty portions of cowboy-approved cuisine that’ll have you yeehawing for more. With an atmosphere that’ll have you toe tappin’ and knee slappin’, Smith & Western is where the Wild West meets great food and good times. Join us, partner, for a dining experience that’s as legendary as the West itself.

The success of our inaugural Horsham saloon paved the way for our first expansion just three years later, in 1998, Chichester became our second home. Our Chichester location was a remarkable transformation, situated within what was once a train goods shed.
